About this event
Growing Knowledge. Developing Skills. Inspiring the Future.
From the first movements of infancy to the physical demands of adolescent sport, every stage of growth brings new challenges, opportunities and discoveries.
At Paediatric Chiropractic Africa (PCA), we believe that as our patients grow, so should we.
Following the incredible success of our previous symposiums, we are excited to welcome you to our 4th PCA Symposium – READY. SET. GROW.
Our 2027 theme, From Tots to Teen Sport, celebrates the journey of childhood development and the evolving role of chiropractic care in supporting children and their families.
This is more than a symposium. It is an opportunity to connect, collaborate, challenge our thinking and continue growing together as a profession.
READY. Building the Foundations.
Every journey begins with a strong foundation.
From pregnancy and the newborn period through infancy and early childhood, we explore the foundations of neurological, musculoskeletal and motor development.
Understanding the developing child is fundamental to recognising variations in movement, identifying potential concerns and supporting appropriate clinical care.
Our speakers will challenge us to look beyond symptoms and consider the whole child, including their developmental history, movement patterns, nervous system and environment.
SET. Developing Skills and Confidence.
As children grow, their world expands.
From those first steps to playground adventures, school activities and developing sporting skills, childhood brings continuous changes in movement, coordination and physical demands.
This stage of our symposium focuses on translating knowledge into clinical practice.
Through evidence-informed presentations, clinical discussions and practical learning, we aim to strengthen assessment skills, clinical reasoning and confidence when working with children of different ages and abilities.
GROW. Supporting the Journey into Adolescence.
Growth doesn't stop when childhood ends, and neither should our learning.
As children enter adolescence, their changing bodies encounter new biomechanical demands, sporting challenges and developmental transitions.
From growing pains and injury prevention to rehabilitation, concussion considerations and the adolescent athlete, we explore the challenges of caring for the growing child.
Our goal is to equip chiropractors with knowledge and practical tools to support children throughout their developmental journey.
